On June 14, 2024, the Department of Agriculture and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed the Minutes of the Meeting (M/M) for the Community-Based HWC Management Project. This signing followed a series of detailed discussions between the implementing agencies and the JICA team. In preparation for this agreement, joint field visits were conducted to potential project sites in the Punakha, Wangdue, and Tsirang Dzongkhags. The official commencement of the project is planned for April 2025, with an expected duration of three and a half years from the commencement date.
