Empowering Our Agriculture Extension Officers Against Fall Armyworm

A specialized training program focusing on the identification and management of Fall Armyworm (FAW) is in full swing at Paro. This crucial initiative is bringing together agriculture extension officers from Thimphu and Paro Dzongkhags, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to effectively tackle the challenges posed by FAW.

The training covers a wide array of topics, from FAW’s origin and biology to identification methods, scouting techniques, and targeted management strategies. With hands-on experience, interactive sessions, and training assignments, our extension agents are poised to become champions in safeguarding our crops against FAW.

This training wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of the Bhutan for Life project. As the training progresses, we’re excited to witness our extension officers’ growth and preparedness. Stay tuned for more updates on how we’re strengthening Bhutan’s agricultural sector and fortifying our defense against FAW! πŸŒŸπŸŒΎπŸ›‘οΈ #FAWManagement #AgricultureProtection #EmpoweringExtensionAgents
