Program Director of the NPPC promoted to Specialist III

Mrs. Yeshey Dema joined the civil service on 26th February 1996 as a Trainee Officer in the  Royal Institute of Management, Thimphu. She was then transferred to the Sustainable Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition Management (SSF & PNM) Project, National Soil Services Centre (NSSC), Department of Agriculture on 1st July 1996. She headed the Soil Fertility Unit, NSSC from 2008 till 2013. She was the team leader from the Agriculture Ministry for the Second National Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and acted as the Soil Focal Official to the ACIAR Project. In 2013, she was transferred to the National Plant Protection Centre as the Program Director. She holds M. Phil in Soil Science from the University of Reading, UK.

Mrs. Yeshey Dema is promoted to Specialist III with effect from 1st January 2021. The NPPC family would like to congratulate her  for the well deserved promotion and wish her success in the future endeavors.
